Kayvon Webster will be missing in action for at least the next two months.
The Texans on Tuesday announced they have placed the cornerback on injured reserve with a quad injury, adding that the team has signed safety Mike Tyson from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
Webster sustained the injury in Houston’s 19-16 overtime win against Dallas on Sunday as he made his return from a torn Achilles suffered last December when he was still a member of the Rams. He played just two snaps in the Week 5 matchup before getting hurt.
The Texans have already placed cornerback Kevin Johnson (concussion) on IR and will be missing cornerback Aaron Colvin (ankle) indefinitely. Meanwhile, quarterback Deshaun Watson is dealing with a chest injury suffered Sunday and is considered day-to-day as he recovers.
Houston (2-3) is slated to host Buffalo (2-3) at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
