Damian Jones will be with the Warriors for at least one more season.
Golden State has picked up Jones’ fourth-year player option, the team announced Tuesday. The Warriors originally selected the 23-year-old center out of Vanderbilt with the 30th pick in the 2016 draft.

Jones has been a surprise contributor for the Warriors in the early part of 2018-19. He has started all eight games, averaging six points per contest, while also shooting 77.8 percent from the field.
Jones appeared in 25 games and tallied just 44 total points over his first two NBA seasons.
The Warriors have started the season 7-1. They’ll return to the court and face the Pelicans on Wednesday.
