Anthony Davis told reporters he plans to play Monday night against the Celtics after missing a game with a strained hip, yet admitted his prognosis could change.
“That’s my plan,” Davis said Monday morning. “My plan is always to play. I have to get evaluated and see how it feels over this couple of hours before the game and go from there.”
Davis suffered the injury in the third quarter of Friday’s loss to the Knicks, and sat out Saturday’s loss to the Wizards.
The 25-year-old Davis is averaging 27 points and 12.6 rebounds per game.
