Derek Anderson (concussion) ruled out; Nathan Peterman will start at QB for Bills

Bills QB Nathan Peterman on his struggles against Texans: ‘This is something I'm going to learn from’

Nathan Peterman will be under center for the Bills on Sunday when Buffalo hosts the Bears.

The Bills made the announcement Saturday after Derek Anderson was ruled out with a concussion.

Rookie quarterback Josh Allen remains out with an elbow injury, resulting in Peterman getting the fourth start of his NFL career.

Peterman, a 2017 first-round pick out of Pittsburgh, has thrown one touchdown and four interceptions while completing 40.6 percent of his passes this season.

The Bears defense ranks in the top 10 in passing yards allowed, rush yards allowed, points allowed and takeaways. Chicago is second in the NFL with 11 interceptions.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
