Leonard Fournette injury update: Jaguars RB participates in individual drills for first time since Week 4

Leonard Fournette injury update: Jaguars RB ruled out against Texans

Leonard Fournette could be nearing his return to the field.

The 23-year-old Jaguars running back took part in individual workouts Monday, according to a report from The Athletic. It was the first time he had participated since re-injuring his ankle in Week 4.

Fournette has appeared in just two games in 2018, rushing for 71 yards on 20 carries.

Fournette originally hurt his hamstring in Jacksonville’s season-opening win against the Giants. He missed the team’s next two games with the injury before he returned against the Jets in late September.

Fournette, however, recorded 30 rushing yards on 11 carries and caught one pass before he exited that game in the first half.

The former LSU star was selected by the Jaguars with the fourth pick in the 2017 draft. He registered 1,040 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games as a rookie.

The Jaguars will face the Colts in Week 10 action Sunday.
