Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes aren’t only in a race for league MVP, they’re also atop the list for Pro Bowl voting by fans through 12 weeks.
In the latest voting update offered by the NFL, Brees leads Mahomes by roughly 65,000 votes, while Todd Gurley in third place is nearly 100,000 behind Mahomes.
It won’t come as much of a surprise to hear the Saints, Rams and Chiefs are well-represented among the top-10 players in votes received, while no Patriots (not even Tom Brady) are spotted.

However, we may not see Brees vs. Mahomes in the Pro Bowl if fans get what they’d rather see — a Saints vs. Chiefs battle in Super Bowl 53.
Players for the game are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Fans can vote here until Dec. 13. Rosters for the NFC and AFC will be announced Tuesday, Dec. 18.
