Vincent Trocheck injury update: Panthers center carried off ice with leg injury

Panthers center Vincent Trocheck was carried off the ice after suffering a gruesome leg injury against the Senators Monday night.

Trocheck was chasing a puck behind the Senators net in the second period when his right leg buckled under him in an awkward position.

The Panthers termed it a “lower-body injury” and said Trocheck would not return.

Trocheck, who had an assist earlier in the game, is Florida’s sixth-leading scorer with 14 points, including three goals.
