NBA trade rumors: Hawks wing Kent Bazemore ‘generating interest from contending teams’

Multiple teams may want to acquire Kent Bazemore.

The 29-year-old Hawks wing is “generating interest from contending teams that covet a versatile swingman,” according to a report from the New York Times’ Marc Stein. Atlanta, however, values Bazemore for his “production and his veteran presence,” the report says.

Bazemore is averaging 13.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in 27 minutes per game this season. He has shot 44.2 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from 3-point range.

Bazemore has spent the last five seasons with Atlanta. He has also played for the Warriors and Lakers during his seven-year career.

The Rockets reportedly inquired about trading for Bazemore during the offseason.

The Hawks will face the Knicks in New York on Friday. They’ll enter that game with a 7-23 record.
