Celtics star Kyrie Irving continues to dabble in the film industry.
Irving will be the executive producer for a horror movie set at the Skirvin Hotel — which has the reputation of being haunted and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places — in Oklahoma City. Various NBA players have stayed at the venue, which made the role appealing to the point guard, according to Variety.
Irving will work alongside Imagine Entertainment chairman Brian Glazer and The Players Tribune.
“Having had my own interesting experiences at the Skirvin Hotel, I connected with this idea immediately,” Irving said, via Variety. “To work with Brian Grazer is a dream come true, and I’m excited to bring this project to life with the Imagine Entertainment team.”
This isn’t Irving’s first movie, though. He also acted in the sports comedy Uncle Drew, which was released in 2018.
There is no release date for his latest project.
The Celtics are fifth in the Eastern Conference and will take on a hot Nets team Monday at 7:30 ET.
