Adam Vinatieri sets NFL career scoring record

Adam Vinatieri still isn’t ready to call it quits.

According to ESPN, which cited league sources, the Colts kicker wants to play his 24th NFL season in 2019.

Indianapolis has reportedly expressed interest in re-signing Vinatieri, who has been with the team since 2006 but is set to become a free agent when his contract expires in early March.

Vinatieri, 46, is one of the best kickers in NFL history and is the league’s all-time leading scorer.

While he uncharacteristically missed the shortest field goal of his career and an extra point in the team’s 31-13 loss to the Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs, he converted 23 of his 27 field goal attempts in 2018. He also made 44 of his 47 extra points.
