Kyle Palmieri will be an All-Star this year.
The Devils forward was announced as a member of the 2019 NHL All-Star Game roster Saturday. He replaces teammate Taylor Hall who was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury Jan. 1.
Palmieri is New Jersey’s top goal-scorer this season, totaling 22 so far. This will be the ninth-year veteran’s first All-Star appearance.

Palmieri’s 16 assists bring his point total to 38 for 2018-19. The Devils are 18-23-7 and sit 15 points back of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conferene.
NHL All-Star festivities will begin with a fan fest on Thursday, Jan. 24 and extend through the All-Star Game on Jan. 26.
