NFL free agency rumors: Steelers sign former 'Hard Knocks' star Brogan Roback

The Steelers added an unexpected quarterback to the mix with the addition of former “Hard Knocks” star Brogan Roback.

Roback was released by the Browns in late August at the end of the team’s training camp, but became known for his role on HBO’s “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Cleveland Browns” series.

He previously had workouts with the Buccaneers and the Texans earlier this season. Additionally, the Steelers had brought him in for a pre-draft visit last spring and they liked him coming out of college, per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The product out of Eastern Michigan passed for 8,624 yards and 57 touchdowns in 45 games in his college career. He signed with the Browns in May as an undrafted free agent.
