NFL playoffs 2019: Josh Gordon congratulates Patriots after win over Chiefs

Patriots WR Josh Gordon has 'real natural type of relationship' with Tom Brady

The Patriots gave Josh Gordon a second chance, and while things didn’t turn out well in the end, he is still thankful for the opportunity.

The wide receiver, who played 11 games for New England this season before being suspended indefinitely, went on Instagram to congratulate the Patriots after their win over the Chiefs in the AFC championship game.

“To the most passionate, dedicated, honorable, & hardest working group of men I’ve ever met,” the post read. “The integrity, love, and passion you guys share for the game will echo throughout your legacy.. #onemore #lfg.”

Gordon wrapped up his post with emojis showing a flame, a four-leaf clover and a goat (for G.O.A.T., get it?).

Gordon, who caught 40 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns for the Patriots, was suspended indefinitely on Dec. 20 for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. He had also congratulated his former team on its win over the Chargers in the AFC divisional round.
