Pistons' Blake Griffin fined $15K for verbal abuse of a game official

Blake Griffin has had another referee run-in.

The Pistons big man has been fined $15,000 for verbal abuse of a game official, the NBA announced Thursday.

The incident occurred at the conclusion of Detroit’s 100-94 loss to the Jazz on Monday at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Griffin previously had a disagreement with an official in a Dec. 28 loss to the Pacers when he pulled out a tablet to argue his case.

The Pistons (19-24) will next play the Heat (21-21) at 7 p.m. ET Friday at home.
