The public got a glimpse of Redskins quarterback Alex Smith for the first time since he was carted off the field Nov. 18 with a horrifying leg injury.
Smith was seen at the Wizards’ home game against the Pistons Monday with a massive brace on his right leg. A pair of crutches were propped up by him.

Smith suffered a gruesome leg injury after he was sacked during the Redskins’ game against the Texans and immediately had surgery on his tibia and fibula. However, he developed an infection from the surgery and remained in the hospital for several weeks.
His wife posted a picture of Smith out of the hospital on Dec. 16, but Smith hadn’t been seen out and about until Monday.
