Rockets injury updates: Eric Gordon to return vs. Nets, James Ennis to miss game with cut left calf

The Rockets have battled through a bevy of injuries over the last month and they’ve continued to pile up.

James Ennis will miss Wednesday’s matchup against the Nets with a cut left calf, coach Mike D’Antoni told reporters pregame.

The Rockets signed former Timberwolves forward James Nunnally to a 10-day contract Wednesday after they failed to reach an agreement with Danuel House. The Ennis injury is another setback for the team’s depth. He’s averaged 6.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 2018-19.

Rockets guard Eric Gordon, however, will return to the lineup after missing the last eight games with a knee injury, D’Antoni said.

While Gordon is expected to be back on the court, starters Chris Paul and Clint Capela remain out for the Rockets.

Houston will enter Wednesday’s matchup against Brooklyn with a 25-18 record.
