The 76ers are still unsure when Joel Embiid will return to the court.
The 24-year-old star’s status for Philadelphia’s matchup with the Warriors this weekend is “completely up in the air,” coach Brett Brown told reporters. Embiid has missed the team’s last four contests, including its game against the Thunder on Thursday, with left knee soreness.
“There’s nothing further going on to what we already said,” Brown said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “It’s just the maintenance of some tendinitis. … We are still learning more.”
Embiid is averaging 27.3 points and 13.5 rebounds this season. He’s shooting 48.2 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from 3-point range.
The 76ers entered their matchup against the Thunder in fourth place of the Eastern Conference with a 39-22 record. They’ve won three of their last four games.
