Blues goalie Jake Allen has had his bright spots this season.
Friday was not one of them.
With the game tied at two against Carolina, Allen gave up one of the worst goals of the season.
With 7:02 left in the game, the Hurricanes cleared a puck into the Blues’ zone. Allen went out to corral it and send it up the ice.
Problem was, Allen completely missed the puck and it bounced out to a streaking Sebastian Aho who wrapped around the net and scored on an empty net in front of a diving Allen.
It wasn’t pretty.

The goal would be the decider in the 5-2 win for the Hurricanes.
The loss puts the Blues up by just six points in the Central Division on the Avalanche for the third spot in the Central.
With the win, the Hurricanes moved in front of the Penguins for third place in the Metropolitan who lost to the Sabres 4-3 in overtime.
The Blue Jackets, who were idle, also fell one point back of the Hurricanes.
