Cam Newton appears ready to get back in his routine.
The Panthers quarterback posted photos of himself Sunday on Instagram that showed him working out in the gym.
It’s unknown if it’s the first post-op session for Newton, who underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his right shoulder in January, but it’s a positive sign after he struggled last season before having surgery.

Earlier this month, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said the team is happy with their depth at quarterback and encouraged by Newton’s recovery.
“From what I’ve gotten from the reports, Cam’s progress has been very good,” Rivera said. “He’s been getting all of his workouts in, his rehab. Just knowing that, it gives you a little bit of confidence going forward.”
Newton, who turns 30 in May, completed a career-high 67.9 percent of his passes in 2018 for 3,385 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
