The Avalanche’s playoff push is going to be a lot harder without Gabriel Landeskog.
The forward, who sits third on the team in points (69) and second in goals (33), will be out four-to-six weeks with an upper-body injury, the team announced Friday.

Colorado currently sits four points back of the Wild for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference. It sits eight points back of the Blues for third place in the Central Division.
The Avalanche have already struggled to score this season, so losing a key contributor from their top three is a huge blow.
Colorado has 14 games left on its schedule this season. If Landeskog’s timetable is correct, the earliest he could return would be for the regular-season finale against the Sharks on April 6.
