Stone was acquired from Ottawa at the trade deadline. Vegas picked Stone up with his contract expiring as he was due to be a free agent after the season.
The 26-year-old forward has 28 goals and 36 assists this season and two assists in five games since coming over from the Senators.
In his seven-year NHL career, Stone has never scored less than 54 points in a full season.
His 28 goals this year marks a career high.
