The Timberwolves’ win over the Wizards on Saturday may have come at a cost after Karl-Anthony Towns suffered a right knee injury.
Towns recorded 40 points and 16 rebounds but left the game in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter, hobbling his way off the court before heading immediately to the locker room.
The center did not play during overtime but the Timberwolves still prevailed without the All-Star, triumphing 135-130 in Minneapolis.
“He’s just had initial evaluations, but he was walking around so there’s really no info at the moment,” interim head coach Ryan Saunders told the media after the game.
