The Bulldogs were within two points of the Red Raiders when Perkins committed the foul, and his blunder proved costly as Gonzaga missed its chance to advance to the Final Four.
Perkins, a redshirt junior, finished with 16 points and six assists on the night.
He also hit a clutch shot from 3-point range to reduce his team’s deficit just before his unusual violation.
