Quarterback Kyler Murray will take part in a full workout during Oklahoma’s pro day March 13 after opting to sit out on-field drills during the combine last week in Indianapolis.
According to NFL Network, Murray will run the 40-yard dash and participate in regular passing workouts. The Heisman Trophy winner also is expected to be measured again after coming in at 5-10 1/8 and 207 pounds last month. He became the shortest quarterback measured at the combine since 2003.
There were some concerns about Murray’s measurements entering the combine as he previously was measured at 5-9 7/8 by Oklahoma staffers last fall during his junior season, which is a bit short of the NFL’s traditional quarterback template.
With April’s draft quickly approaching, speculation as to where Murray will land has heated up. The Oklahoma product has been linked to the Cardinals, and NFL Network recently reported “people are beginning to believe almost universally” around the league that Murray will go first overall to Arizona.
Murray revealed he planned to meet with the Cardinals at the combine, although he had meetings planned with other teams as well.
