The Browns could be looking to add a safety.
Cleveland has been in contact with free agents Eric Berry and Tre Boston, general manager John Dorsey told reporters Monday, via the Akron Beacon Journal.

Berry was released by the Chiefs earlier this month. The five-time Pro Bowl player ruptured his Achilles in September 2017, which limited him to just four games over the last two seasons, including the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Boston spent 2018 with the Cardinals, where he tallied 79 total tackles and three interceptions over 14 games. He has also played for the Panthers and Chargers during his five-year career.
The Browns have already had a busy offseason. They sent two future draft picks, along with offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler and safety Jabrill Peppers, to the Giants in mid-March in exchange for star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and pass rusher Olivier Vernon.
Cleveland finished last season with a 7-8-1 record. It hasn’t made the playoffs since 2002.
