Bruce Irvin has a new home.
The Panthers have signed the free-agent defensive end to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.

The 31-year-old was selected by the Seahawks with the No. 15 overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft and remained in Seattle until he signed with the Raiders in 2016. However, Irvin was released after eight games last season.
The Atlanta native then signed a one-year deal with the Falcons in November, recording 3 1/2 sacks and 13 combined tackles in the final eight games of the regular season.
Irvin is sure to help fill the pass-rushing void in Carolina left by Julius Peppers, who retired from the NFL last month.
The Panthers managed just 35 sacks in 2018 which was 27th in the NFL.
