The Chiefs could be looking to add a defensive back.
Kansas City is expected to make free agent safety Landon Collins “a priority” this offseason, according to a report from NJ.com, which cites unidentified league sources.
Collins tallied 96 total tackles and four pass breakups in 12 games for the Giants last season.
Collins was originally picked by New York in the second round of the 2015 draft. He started 59 games and made three Pro Bowls during his first four seasons, but the team declined to place the franchise tag on him.
“I want to thank the Giants organization for believing in me and allowing me to have 4 great years in NY,” Collins wrote Tuesday on Twitter. “I can’t express how great it was to play with my teammates and in one of the greatest cities in the world.
“I will forever cherish my time in the blue and white and the relationships I have built in the building and in my community. Now on to the next chapter.”
Collins has recorded 428 career tackles and eight interceptions.
