NFL free agency rumors: Colts adding key pass-rushing element with Justin Houston

Chiefs talking Justin Houston trade, report says

Justin Houston has found a new home.

The veteran pass-rush specialist has agreed to sign with the Colts, according to ESPN.

The deal is for two years and $24 million.

Houston was cut by the Chiefs this offseason after tallying 78 1/2 career sacks in Kansas City. He had nine sacks last year in 12 games played for the team.

Indianapolis’ defense made huge strides last season when Frank Reich took as head coach and brought in Matt Eberflus as the team’s defensive coordinator.

The Colts went from 30th in total defense in 2017 to 11th in 2018. However, they did finish 19th in sacks with 38 on the year.

Houston could be a big help with that part of the game.
