The Rams could potentially add yet another big-time player on the defensive side of the ball.
Los Angeles might have interest in landing free-agent linebacker Clay Matthews, according to NFL Network.
Wade Phillips specifically is a big fan of Matthews, according to the report.

Matthews, 32, played out the final season of his five-year, $66 million deal with the Packers in 2018.
He played in all 16 games for Green Bay, tallying 3 1/2 sacks, the lowest total of his career.
But Matthews is a former USC Trojan and currently lives in the Los Angeles area, so he could have interest in playing for the Rams, according to NFL Network.
The team might be interested in signing him to a short-term deal.
