Josh Rosen’s tenure in Arizona may last one season.
The Cardinals have been shopping the 22-year-old quarterback, an unnamed team told NFL Network.
Arizona is “almost universally” believed to be planning to select Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the top pick in next month’s draft, according to an earlier report from NFL Network. The team, however, has reportedly told Rosen he’s “their guy.”
The Cardinals selected Rosen out of UCLA with the 10th pick in the 2018 draft. He completed 55.2 percent of his passes and threw for 11 touchdowns, along with 14 interceptions, in 13 games as a rookie.
The team tallied a 3-13 record in 2018 and missed the playoffs for a third straight season. They finished last in the NFL in total offense.
Arizona fired former coach Steve Wilks in late December after just one season and hired Kliff Kingsbury to replace him.
