Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation for battery, according to The Kansas City Star.
The Star obtained a police report indicating the incident in question involves a juvenile.
According to the report from The Star, which cites a source close to Hill’s fiancee, the incident involves the couple’s son and resulted in the child sustaining a broken arm.
It is unclear when the alleged incident took place.
“The club is aware of the investigation involving Tyreek Hill,” the Chiefs said in a statement to The Star. “We’re in the process of gathering information and have been in contact with the league and local authorities. We’ll have no further comment at this time.”
Hill’s fiancee, Crystal Espinal, is the same woman the wide receiver reportedly choked and punched in 2014. He was arrested and dismissed from Oklahoma State’s football team and eventually pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in August 2015. The incident was expunged from his record in August 2018 after he completed probation requirements.
After being kicked off of OSU’s football team the wide receiver transferred to West Alabama and was drafted in the fifth round by the Chiefs in 2016.
He is coming off of a year in which he caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns for Kansas City.
Espinal told the Star in February she is also pregnant with twins.
