High-scoring Blues winger Vladimir Tarasenko will miss at least 10 days with an upper-body injury, the team announced Sunday.
The 27-year-old Russian suffered the injury in the Blues’ win over the Kings on Thursday. He had been considered day-to-day.
According to Blues general manager Doug Armstrong, Tarasenko will be re-evaluated in 10 days.
“It’s part of the game,” interim head coach Craig Berube told reporters Saturday.
Tarasenko leads St. Louis this season with 28 goals and is the second-leading scorer (58 points).
Berube said Jaden Schwartz would fill Tarasenko’s role on the Blues’ high-scoring first line with Ryan O’Reilly and Brayden Schenn.
