Vladimir Tarasenko is back, and the Blues need him now more than ever.
The right winger will return to the lineup Tuesday against the Oilers, according to a team release.
HE’S BACK!!!!
Vladimir Tarasenko returns to the lineup tonight! https://t.co/ghm3XyehWy #stlblues— St. Louis Blues (@StLouisBlues) March 19, 2019
Tarasenko has been sidelined since March 7, when he sustained an upper-body injury against the Kings.
The Blues have struggled in his absence, going 1-2-2. The team is in the midst of a serious battle for playoffs spots in the Western Conference as six teams are separated by eight points and nine by 13, so Tarasenko returning is a welcome relief. The Blues lead the Stars by just two points for third in the Central Division.
He ranks first on the team in goals (28), second in points (58) and third in assists (31).
