Rockets star James Harden has the utmost confidence that his team will be able to defeat the Warriors in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Last season, the Rockets played the Warriors in the Western Conference finals but fell in Game 7. Harden believes the outcome will be different this year as he explained that the thinks Houston is “more than capable” of knocking Golden State out of the playoffs.
“We’re a very confident group of guys. We’ve been that way the entire year,” Harden told reporters on Saturday. “We’re more than capable. We’re excited about the opportunity. We know the difficulties and the challenges that are going to come along that way, but we’re prepared for them.”

Harden knows it won’t be an easy task, but said he’s excited for the opportunity to rebound from last season’s playoff series against the Warriors.
“Obviously we know how difficult it’s going to be but I think every possession, every game is something different and we just have to take advantage of the opportunity,” Harden said.
The Rockets are coming off a 4-1 series win over the Jazz, while the Warriors defeated the Clippers 4-2 in the first round of the playoffs.
Game 1 of the conference semifinals will start at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
