The first round matchup between the Jets and Blues is likely to be one of the most physical series to start the playoffs.
Jets forward Mark Scheifele proved that during the first shift in Game 1 on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old hit Blues goalie Jordan Binnington hard when he was going for a puck behind the net within the first few minutes of the game.

Binnington went to the ground before center Brayden Schenn quickly stood up for his rookie goaltender as he confronted Scheifele along the boards.
Nothing much came out of it, but just seconds away from the opening faceoff, it would be really early to drop the gloves.
Scheifele was penalized for goalie interference.
Either way, this Western Conference series is off to an interesting start and could be indicative of a great series to come.
