Antonio Brown couldn’t help but take a jab at his former fan base.
The Raiders receiver reacted to a report from ProFootballTalk that said the “Hard Knocks” ratings from Tuesday night’s episode in the Pittsburgh area was triple the national average.
Brown saw this and had a sassy response.

Chances are, former fans of Brown tuned in to the third episode of the series because it addressed more of the offseason drama surrounding him. The episode saw Brown refusing to practice, along with the issues of his helmet and his frostbitten feet that he reportedly sustained from not wearing the proper footwear in a cryotherapy chamber.
Brown’s helmet issue has dominated the training camp headlines in the past few weeks. From reports that he would retire if he can’t use his old helmet to filing another grievance with the NFL to see if he can use the outdated piece of hardware.
“Here’s the bottom line,” Raiders general manager Mike Mayock said Sunday. “He’s upset about the helmet issue. We have supported that, we appreciate that. At this point, we’ve pretty much exhausted all avenues of relief. So, from our perspective, it’s time for him to be all in or all out. We’re hoping he’s back soon.
“We’ve got 89 guys busting their tails. We’re really excited about where this franchise is going and we hope A.B. is going to be a big part of it, starting Week 1 against Denver. End of story.”
Brown, who was traded to the Raiders from the Steelers in March for draft picks, doesn’t have much more time to figure out his helmet issue before Oakland’s Sept. 9 opener against the Broncos.
