NFL trade rumors: Patriots acquire Ravens offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor

The Patriots have acquired offensive linemen Jermaine Eluemunor from the Ravens and Korey Cunningham from the Cardinals, according to multiple reports.

It is unclear what the Ravens will receive in return for Eluemunor. The Cardinals will receive a sixth-round pick for Cunningham, according to ESPN.

Eluemunor, 24, was a fifth-round pick by the Ravens out of Texas A&M in 2017.

He has played in 17 games over the last two years, making three starts.

Cunningham played in six games for the Cardinals last season.

The news comes after Patriots center David Andrews was hospitalized this week with blood clots.

The center started all 16 games in 2018 and has won two Super Bowls with New England. Now, his season is in jeopardy.

Ted Karras will be stepping in and will receive plenty of snaps in Andrews’ absence.

Eluemenor doesn’t seem likely to get any reps at center, as all of his career games in college and the NFL have come either at guard or tackle, but with the loss of one offensive lineman, he will at least help with depth.

As for Cunningham, who was a seventh-round pick out of Cincinnati in 2018, it’s hard to tell how he’ll fit in as he has only played one NFL season.
